Broncos beast Zach Allen earns two nice honors in one day

Denver Broncos defensive lineman Zach Allen earned two big honors in one day.

First, Allen made the NFL’s top-100 players of 2026, checking in at No. 73 overall. He’s the first member of the Broncos to make this year’s edition and had a nice jump up after being No. 90 last season.

The ranking are voted on by fellow players, so it’s a tip of the cap to Allen that he’s being recognized around the league.

“Respect continues to be earned for Allen, who was an All-Pro and a Pro Bowl selection for the first time in 2025 and is now a two-time Top 100 member,” Grant Gordon of NFL.com wrote about Allen.

Pat Surtain II and Garett Bolles are among those featured in the video above complimenting Zach Allen about what a dynamic player he is on Denver’s relentless defensive line.

And that wasn’t all.

ESPN released its list of the top-10 defensive tackles in the game, as voted on by league executives, coaches and scouts. For the first time in his career, Allen made it, checking in at No. 8 overall.

“His get-off and his relentless effort make him productive,” an NFL personnel director told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. “He’s really good in those two areas.”

As Fowler notes, Allen’s 131 QB hits since 2022 are the most in the league, eight ahead of superstar Myles Garrett. And he’s doing that from more of an interior rushing position — which is wild.

It’s nice to see Zach Allen get the recognition he deserves. He’s a top-100 player in the NFL and top-10 at his position.

The Broncos will need him and the rest of the defense to continue to perform at a high level in 2026 to reach their ultimate goal of a Super Bowl.
