Couple Arrested After Silly String Fight in Walmart

With some of the things I have witnessed at Walmart, I didn't think anyone ever got arrested there, apparently it just takes getting into a Silly String fight. According to MLive, a couple was arrested after getting into a silly string fight at the local Walmart. According to the report, 26-year-old Samantha Christiansen, and 24-year-old Derek Gomes, engaged in  a fight that resulted in $200 worth of silly string being emptied. At $3 a can, that comes out to about 66 cans.

The authorities were called when Gomez and Christiansen refused to pay for the merchandise, and attempted to leave. They were apprehended by a local deputy, and charged with retail fraud. This charge is punishable by 93 days in jail, or a fine of up to $500, or three times the value that was taken, whichever is greater.
