Groundhog Bites Mayor Over Winter Prediction [VIDEO]

Archie Carpenter, Getty Images[/caption]A word to the wise, you might not want to get too close to wildlife, after all they are wildlife. One mayor found out the hard way that they bite.

As ABC News reported, Jimmy, the official groundhog in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin was a little pissed off with the fact that there were going to be six more weeks of winter. It appeared to happen about like this... the mayor leaned toward the groundhog's ear and was an inch from its mouth, so naturally Jimmy had a taste.

The mayor said there would be an early spring, but Jimmy’s handlers said the mayor got it wrong and there would be six more weeks of winter. Then the city issued a statement saying only the mayor can translate the groundhog's prediction.
