According to a recent survey by dealseek.com, nearly 71 percent of single people claim that dating has gotten more expensive over the last year, and 40 percent are going on fewer dates because of it. Finding affordable dates is not a bad idea these days, and according to the study, New York is the place where most people are searching for ways to go on one, with Colorado being the state with the second most searches. When asked how much should be spent on a date, the most popular answer for men was $76 to $100, which 29 percent of men agreed on, and for women, 27 percent said less than $35. So what are people doing to save money when dating? 

The Most Affordable Date in Colorado

After searching for affordable dates in Colorado, it was determined that taking your date thrifting is the way to go. Other ideas include going to a paint and sip place, going to a beach if that is an option, stargazing, or going to an arcade. While trying to budget dating may seem like a red flag, according to the survey, most women don't view it as being too cheap. 61 percent say that overspending is a red flag, 78 percent say bragging about money is, but 69 percent say complaining about money is also a red flag. Shockingly, 50 percent said suggesting a low budget date is actually a green flag, and 49 percent said it is a green flag to talk about budgeting.
