Most seem to think they are good drivers, and according to a recent survey by thepatelfirm.com, 18% of drivers think their driving skills are well above average, 45% think they are above average, 34% think they are average, and only 3% think they are below or well below average. Interestingly, 71% of men think their driving skills are above average, and only 55% of women think their skills are. What type of drivers do most people think they are? According to the survey, 36% say they are laid back, 30% say they are efficient/fast, 16% say they are paranoid, 9% say they drive on autopilot, and 9% fall into other. Many drivers do admit they have bad habits, but which habits are the most common?

We all make mistakes on the road and develop some bad habits, but which are the most popular? According to the survey, 84% admit to driving over the speed limit, 81% admit to accelerating through a yellow light, which many have paid dearly for in Northern Colorado due to the light cameras, 51% eat while driving, 47% honk out of frustration, 29% forget to use their turn signals, and 5% don't wear their seatbelts. Not only, do drivers develop bad habits, but they also don't know all the rules to the road as well, as many miss questions that are on the written driving test.
