It's a rarity for me, but I love to do it. Going to the nail salon is such a treat, and there are some pretty fancy places to visit in Northern Colorado.

As a proud German, there is a downside to my culture: having sausage fingers. I also call them snausages. I know my feet are ugly, and I'm self-conscious about just how ugly they are. I see people staring.

That's why I almost feel like it's my duty to take control of the situation by at least giving my toes and fingernails a nice coat of paint. Let's break down the best places (in my opinion) to pamper your fingers and tootsies.

Fort Collins

If you choose to venture to FOCO there are a ton of nail salons to pick from. Dolce is great because it's clean, beautifully decorated, and it offers a ton of treatment options, including green tea pedicures, as well as hundreds of color options.

You can find Dolce in Fort Collins off of Harmony Road.

Greeley

The Nail Spa of Greeley is a definite must-visit because there's a ton of room with lots of seating and a ton of staff, which means you'll be in and out fast. I know some people love the experience of getting their nails done, but I like to get in and get out.

Windsor

The Nails Spa 3 in Windsor is a little on the smaller side, but they always come in the clutch. If your goal is to get in and get out, this is a great choice because it's a little off the beaten path, so you don't have to worry about crowds, which is always a good thing. Maybe it's because I work right down the street, but I love this nail salon when I'm in a hurry and don't need all that extra foot-rubbing. Because rubbing from a stranger freaks me out.

So pamper yourself by visiting one of my favorite nail salons today.
