Can we all agree that road rage is dumb? It's one thing to honk at a vehicle; it's a whole other story if you decide to get out of your car and confront another driver. That is an easy way to put yourself in a dangerous and potentially deadly situation.

Colorado Road Rage Incident Stops Traffic on I-70

If that isn't bad enough, stopping to fight in the middle of a busy Colorado interstate is on a different level, and that is exactly what happened in Wheat Ridge recently.

According to the Wheat Ridge Police Department, the incident captured on a dashcam on westbound Interstate 70 took place on Wednesday, June 10. The video shows two vehicles swerving and brake-checking each other, before coming to a complete stop on the interstate to hash it out.

The dashcam footage shows the two vehicles stopping in the middle lane, when the driver of the leading car gets out to confront the other driver. Moments after the vehicles stop, another car switches lanes, narrowly missing what could have been a fatal incident.

Both Colorado Drivers Cited After Road Rage Incident

After the interaction between the two drivers, one vehicle remained in the area to report the incident to the police, and the other fled the scene. The Lakewood Police Department deployed its Drones as a First Responder unit to locate the other driver near the Colorado Mills Mall, and officers made contact with the driver.

Both drivers admitted to involvement in the road rage altercation and were given summonses for disorderly conduct. See the video footage of the incident below:
