Downtown Loveland Cupcake Shop Forced to Look for New Spot

Running any small business in Colorado takes a lot of work and determination. For B Sweet Cupcakes in Downtown Loveland, that work and determination lead to success, but being successful doesn't necessarily mean security.

 Why Is B Sweet Cupcakes in Downtown Loveland Closing?

You just don't know what you're going to find on Facebook when you open it up on Friday morning; on June 12, 2026, I opened it up to find a vide posted by B Sweet Cupcakes. That video was the shop's owner, Dana, letting people know that the building they were in had new owners and those new owners were discontinuing their lease.

What's Next for B Sweet Cupcakes?

In the video, Dana discusses how they almost decided to shut down for good, but got fortunate and found a spot in Berthoud. She couldn't go into the details on the new, smaller location; but on the bright side, according to Dana, the business will be going back to its roots, as she began the business out of her Berthoud home, years ago.

The 4th Street renovation project was very hard on the business in early 2026; Dana was very upfront about her disappointment in how the City of Loveland went about the whole thing, leaving the small businesses to struggle and suffer losses during the construction.

What's Next for B Sweet Cupcakes' Loveland Spot?

B Sweet Cupcakes will be in operation until the Fall of 2026, by then we may know who's going into 425 E. 4th Street. Of course, that new business will get the benefit of not having to deal with the construction. I will be one who'll be watching the space intensely.
