The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off tomorrow and Chipotle is honoring the world's most popular sport by a buy one entree, get a free second entree to any fans who show up in-store wearing a soccer jersey.

The World Cup, of course, is watched by billions of people around the world every time it occurs. And this year, the United States, Canada and Mexico are hosting the massive event in cities across all three countries, with the final match to occur at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey when it's all said and done.

The tournament features 48 national teams divided into 12 groups of 4 where every country is guaranteed at least three matches. The top two teams in each group, plus the 8 best third place finishers all advance to a single elimination tournament of 32 teams going head to head until there's only two teams left in the championship match.

Soccer - or football as the rest of the world knows it - is not one of those sports that the U.S. has dominated. The best the US Men's team has ever finished was 3rd overall, and you have to go back to 1930 for that. They once made it to the quarterfinals and even that was all the way back in 2002.
