Watch Man Propose To Girlfriend In Front Of Popular Estes Park Taffy Shop
With all the amazing places in Colorado for a proposal to take place, a person has to be very creative when it comes to finding the "right spot." For a man out for spring walk in Estes Park, The Taffy Shop was "it."
Estes Park's Most-Famous Taffy Shop Dates Back to 1935
The Taffy Shop, at 121 West Elkhorn in Downtown Estes, first opened in 1935 and was run by the Slack family until 2014, when the business was turned over to new owners. Those new owners had to go through rigorous training to be trusted with the secret recipe, that is kept in safety deposit box, still today.

The Taffy Shop has had their "Taffy Cam" for many years; showing that delicious Salt Water taffy being made. People from all around the world tune in; many see the taffy being made and immediately order some online.
Was if the Kneading of the Taffy That The Taffy Shop Was His Choice?
There's no way of knowing exactly why the man chose being in front of The Taffy Shop and The Taffy Cam, but one can speculate that it might have been how the taffy is needed on the taffy puller. I can see him saying something about how cool it is how the taffy gets kneaded in that way and how he needs his girlfriend as he drops one "knee."
The Taffy Shop's website has a page where you can "Share Your Story" about the shop; people write in about being there on vacation, how they've stopped in every year, etc. It wouldn't be surprising to find this couple's story there, soon.
