Windsor Middle School Selling Bricks After Renovations

Windsor Middle School, not far from our radio stations, dates back to 1918; the number of Northern Colorado kids who've been educated there is staggering. That's why it's great that the public has the chance to own a piece of that building's history with $25 bricks.

Why is Windsor Middle School Selling These Old Bricks?

They began a $20 million Windsor Middle School in late 2024, doing a ton of things to make things better at the school, such as a new cafeteria expansion, improving the pickup/drop-off area, new air conditioning in both of the gyms, and modernizing the library. Major demolition involved in the renovation began in the summer of 2026, when you couldn't miss the mess.

How Do You Get a Windsor Middle School Brick for $25?

The Weld RE-4 Education Foundation has an online auction where you can purchase a brick with the "Buy Now" option. Those old bricks (a limited number are available) look great with the big "W" on them; "W" for Windsor and for "Wizards."

This reminds me of when Colorado State Athletics was auctioning off (with a "Buy Now" option on some items) pieces of Sonny Lubick Field at Canvas Stadium and pieces of the old floor at Moby Arena, as both were getting renovated to be a part of the Pac-12.

Where Does the $25 for the Bricks Go?

According to the Weld RE-4 Education Foundation, 100% of the money taken in will go right back to Windsor Middle School; it's a win-win: the school benefits and you get a piece of the town's history.
