New Pizza Place Opens in Midtown Fort Collins
Another new pizza place has opened in Fort Collins. This one is a bit different than the others though.
As the Coloradoan reported, a new wood-fired pizza place called 900 Degrees has opened on the corner of Prospect and College Avenue in Fort Collins.
The owner, John Ricketts is branching out with 900 Degrees, a different idea for pizza, saying it will be "good enough and different enough" that it will stand out from a handful of other pizza joints in the city.
He has created a menu with 11 New York-style pizzas, meaning thin crusts, but you can still pick the slice up and eat it with your hands.
Okay, it's pizza, it's New York-style, what is the difference though?
The hand-tossed crusts are cooked for 2 ½ minutes at 900 degrees, compared to the traditional way.
Pizzas will come out of the oven and be topped with fresh basil, parmesan and sometimes onions before being served.
Um, I am hungry now.
