Bo Nix wants to win NFL MVP and the Super Bowl this season

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix has ambitious goals this season.

And fans in the Mile Hight City and beyond will be thrilled to hear them.

Nix returned to practice on Tuesday, the first session of Denver’s mandatory minicamp this week. Coming off a fractured ankle against the Bills in the NFL playoffs, it was great to see Nix back on the field.

He then held a lengthy 16-minute press conference where he discussed his two surgeries this offseason, a potential contract extension from the Broncos and plenty more.

Perhaps his best answer came when Bo Nix was asked about personal goals this year. Rather than deflecting, Nix answered the question honestly. He wants to be the best in the league on a championship team.

“I think it’s just like each and every year. I want to have a great completion percentage and put the ball in play. I want to have very few turnovers and mental errors. At the end of the day, if you asked that question to every quarterback, they want to win the Super Bowl and an MVP,” Nix said.

The third-year QB hedged a little bit, talking about every signal-caller in the NFL, but it’s clear hoisting Lombardi and winning MVP are his two main goals.

“That’s what is going to be my goal each and every year. Now some of those don’t have to do with me, obviously it’s voted by someone else. But at the same time, you have to give them a reason not to choose you. Super Bowl is a little bit cleaner because it’s actually something you can do for yourself,” Bo Nix said.

Coming off a 14-3 season if Nix can lead the Broncos to similar success, one figures he can creep into the MVP conversation.

And if Denver lands another No. 1 seed in the AFC and Bo Nix stays healthy, a title doesn’t feel out of the question.

Yes, it’s only June, but that type of answer will fire up Broncos Country.
